When I first got my Vodafone 3G USB stick I was impressed with it, providing high speed internet access when away from a Wi-Fi or wired network. Recently trying to use it plugging in the modem caused a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) and a stop message. Turns out there is a compatibility issue between the modem software and the Intel Pro set wireless in my Dell XPS M1330. The solution, it turns out, is simple. At least when you hit the right forum (thanks Google). Simply disable the Intel Pro Wireless adapter using the right click on the system tray before plugging in the USB stick. Remember to enable again to switch back to Wi-Fi!
